Consisting of a main rail along which specially designed trolleys or hooks run, a monorail conveyor offers stability and safety during the coating process. The trolleys can be customised to suit the specific size and shape of workpieces, ensuring safe and reliable handling.
Monorail conveyors exist in several variants. “Box profile” overhead conveyors have a chain consisting of links equipped with pins and joints on which bearings are applied: these links slide inside a track consisting of a box profile and feature attachments for the part-carrying frames.
Another common variant is the “Morris” type monorail conveyor, which consists of moulded or die-cast chain links connecting trolleys with workpiece carriers that run along an INP profile.
The “Morris” type overhead conveyor is particularly popular as it can handle parts of various sizes and weights. In addition, specially designed frames can be used to optimise the hanging of parts. This system is also characterised by low cost and easy maintenance, making it a highly efficient solution for many industrial applications.
